Captain Charles. D. Boggs

The Lodges' first Master, was an Irishman, who came here from Halifax, Nova Scotia, and was a member of St. John's Lodge No.2 of that city. He was the first British Vice Counsel, stationed here until he was retired in the early nineties. He re-turned to his old home, New Glasgow, N. S., where he was employed in a bank as a bookkeeper until his death. He and his good wife were quite active in the social life of the town, and did much charitable work while here.
