William. J. Epes

The first Steward and Tiler, an old bachelor, came here from Williamsport, Pa., and was a member of No. 106 of the same name, was a carpenter by trade. When the Lodge moved from 23rd Street to the Viney Building at 26th Street and Washington Avenue, he used a small room off from the Lodge room as a bedroom and the Lodge room for a living room and in which he was found dead one afternoon from a heart attack. He was buried the next day from the Lodge room.
