Julius Landsberg

The first Junior Warden and second Master, was a member of St. Tammany Lodge No.5, Hampton, Va.; a merchant who had a small bar and pool room located about 12 23rd Street and known as The Office because the some of the men connected with the terminals congregated there after work, and also got their pay checks cashed, as all banking had to be done in Hampton or Norfolk. On the second floor was the Lodge room and after the meetings the members would retire to the pool room and have refreshments, usual1y crackers and cheese, a can of sardines and a bottle of beer. From here he went to Washington and engaged in business. Some years later: Bro. Landsberg returned to Williamsburg where he passed away. He was buried by St. Tammany Lodge in Hampton.
